Being a full-time student at Stony Brook University means that I spend a lot of my time at or nearby campus. Over time, I have definitely gotten more acquainted with the local restaurants and attractions. Although 'spare time' can sometimes be a foreign term when you're a student, these places are worth checking out the next time you have the chance!

1. Long Island Museum

A really fun place to browse around. They have everything from art to automobiles!

2. Avalon Park and Preserve

If you love the outdoors, you'll love all of the winding paths and meadows this place has to offer.

3. Soup's On

A great place to stop on a cold day to get a bowl of soup!

4. Stony Brook Village

When you have a few hours, the village shops are great places to explore.

5. Stony Brook Harbor

Visiting the water is a great way to decompress after studying!

6. Smith Haven Mall

The mall is filled with so many stores that it's impossible to not buy anything!

7. Loews Theater

Definitely worth checking out if you like to watch movies!

8. Station Pizza & Brew

A great place to stop for a quick and cheap meal!

9. Cabo Fresh

One of my favorite, inexpensive Mexican restaurants to visit nearby campus.

10. The Dumpling House

A great Chinese restaurant that is worth trying!

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
