Ten Disney Quotes to Help You Get By
Ashley Rose

At some point in all of our lives we go through rough times and we aren't really sure where we need to go next. We often wonder what the next step is or if any one else has ever been through the same thing as you. But what I have learned, through my trials and tribulations, is that everyone has these rough times and if you look hard enough you can find the inspriration to keep going all around you; even from a Disney movie. Who knew that the movies we watch as children and grew up with could help to guide us through life?

"Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it." - The Lion King

A gentle reminder that your past is simply that, and you can't change what happened, so find the lesson from it and move forward.

"No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep believing, the dreams that you wish will come true." - Cinderella

Times can get tough, life isn't always easy, but no matter how hard things get never give up on your dream; because only you can make it come true.

"Remember, you're the one who can fill the world with sunshine." - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Such a small quote with such a powerful meaning. We all bring something special into this world and only you have the ability to fill the world with your rays of sunshine.

"Life's a little bit messy. We all make mistakes. No matter what type of animal you are, change starts with you." - Zootopia

When life gets crazy, we need to remember that we have the power to make the changes we need to in order to better our lives; all it takes is the first step in the right direction.

"The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all." - Mulan

We all have struggles that we must face, they're a part of life, but those who manage to still support others during their hardship are the strongest of all.

"There is the whole world at your feet." - Mary Poppins

As we grow up we see this big wonderful world full of so many opportunities, as we get older we tend to forget how many opportunities we have. We can do anything we set our minds to... all we have to do is take that first step.

"Where there is kindness, there is goodness, and where there is goodness, there is magic." - Cinderella

Now in days, we tend to forget just how important it is to be kind to one and other, because in the end it is through being kind that the magic of the world is created.

"Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." - Lilo and Stitch

Through it all, and no matter what, we have to remaindering the importance and the impact of family in our lives.

"You think the only people who are people are who think and look like you. But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger, you'll learn things you never knew." - Pocahontas

Extremely relevant in our society right now, a strong reminder that you should never judge a book by it's cover.

" You know who you are." - Moana

You may not realize it yet, but deep down inside we all know who we are and who we are suppose to be. Let nothing stop you from being that person.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
