For the longest time, I have always been the type of girl to tell people how I feel. I have always felt as if it could do no harm. Seriously, If they don't like you then you don't want them anyway.

Over this weekend I decided to tell this guy that I have feelings for him. He was leaving to go back to college so I knew it was the perfect time in case things got awkward and if it went well we still had time to hang out. I chose to do it at 11 p.m. so that as soon as I sent it I could turn off my notifications and go to sleep so I wouldn't have to deal with it. However, I did have the whole paragraph already written so all I had to do was copy and paste. If I'm being honest, it didn't go horribly but it was obviously not the response I wanted.

Here's what I sent.

Hey, this is probably really stupid to do and I know you probably don't feel the same but I have this thing where I have to get things off my chest before I can move on. So, I guess here it is. Throughout the time we have been friends I've enjoyed talking to you so much and I started to develop feelings. If you don't feel the same way act like this didn't happen and don't make it awkward.

This is what I got back.

Awww Cece. I don't even really know what to say to this. You're so fun to talk to, but my last girlfriend really hurt me and kinda messed things up and I haven't been able to even think about other relationships. You're awesome and I look forward to us continuing to be friends. And I won't make anything awkward cause I hate when people do that as well. Thank you for telling me all of this though.

I have no clue what this means and I wish I did. This guy is the sweetest, cutest, funniest guy I have ever met and I wish we could have been something. There is still a chance for us, so I don't regret this at all. Our relationship hasn't changed one bit and I thank him for that.

Not all responses can be as good as this one. Trust me, I have done this many many times. But, I am thankful I got a sweet and mature response even though it didn't make me lose feelings. Sometimes, it's just better to tell people how you feel because you never know how they feel and you truly have nothing to lose.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
