Why Teens Need To Become Politically Active In 2017

Most teens today are scolded by their parents for sharing their political beliefs online, I would be the first one to know. "You are not even old enough to vote." "Your views are embarrassing to our family." I can not tell you how many times those two statements have been texted to me and screamed at me. This needs to change.

We are coming into a year full of uncertainty. We have a new president for the first time in eight years. It's shocking to me that President Obama will not be our president anymore by the time this article is published. If you think about it, he's the only president that we remember.

But he is gone. We now have a new sheriff leading our country. His name is Donald J. Trump. You heard me right. DONALD TRUMP WILL BE OUR NEW PRESIDENT. As scary as that may sound, it will be a reality soon. That is why we, as the youngest generation, need to become more active in what goes on around our local, state, and national political scenes.

We are the voice of change. We are the voice of hope. We are the future of this country. It's time for us to take a stand and let our voice be heard!

But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

Being a music major is not all kicks and giggles. In fact, there are days when I question my sanity and doubt myself as a musician. I know I am not the only one going through the struggle, and so here are 13 GIFs that I know my fellow music majors can relate to...
