Things adults regret not doing when they were young.

Someone once told me that youth is wasted on the young.

There are so many things we don't think of doing when we are young, that we come to regret not doing when we are older. Youth is wasted on the young because we don't know how to appreciate it yet. Let's not let time slip away from us when we are young.

Teen Bucket List

1. Travel

We might not have the money to go wherever we please, but we do have the time to do so. Traveling is something that isn't appreciated enough among the youth. We always think we will have time later on in life to live the glamorous life traveling all over the world. The hard truth is that life only gets busier from here on out. That's why people say there's no better time than the present. Save up some money and go to Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls or wherever you wish to explore. Just go see the world while you have the time. If you are like most people, however, then after college you won't have time to yourself to enjoy traveling (until after retirement).

2. Eat

Our metabolism is probably the highest it will ever be right now. As we grow older and our bodies age, our appetites change and our bodies just don't let us eat like we used to when we were young. Eat and try new foods while you are young and can handle it. Do not miss out on eating something delicious because you are trying to get slim for the summer. PS.: I'm not encouraging excessive and poor eating habits. What I am saying is that if there's something you want to eat, do it while you are young and have the appetite for junk food.

3. Love

Even the most happily married couples could still dream about the golden days when they were dating and didn't have much to worry about. This is the time to be dating, falling in love, experiencing heartbreaks and so much more. We eventually want to settle down and look for "The One," but until then, let us meet new people, get to know them and maybe fall in love a few times (or a dozen). As you date and pour your heart out to someone who you think is going to be The One, you really will find the right person to spend the rest of your life with.

4. Save Money

One of the biggest things adults regret is not saving up money when they were younger. When we are young, we often don't know the value of money. Even when we get a job and make money, we spend it all. Learning to save money early on could make it so much easier to save money and deal with the financial aspect of adult life. This might not be a typical bucket list activity, but it is definitely one for the books. This is a life hack. Get in the habit of saving money now, and you will be so much better off later on in life.

There are so many more things that should go on this bucket list. I only started the list for you.

Don't wait until it's too late. Let's take advantage of our youth.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.

One of the scariest things we will ever face in our life is going to college. Many of us move away to a new town, join new organizations, and make new friends. We are expected to study, have a social life, relationships, maybe work, and be healthy. It seems pretty easy to do, and in high school all we wanted to do was graduate and move on to this next chapter of our lives. If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.
