Netflix recently released "Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes" which is a four-part episode series that takes viewers into the mind of the infamous serial killer, Ted Bundy. It includes interviews, old footage, and even audio recordings from death row. The show is creepy and even a bit horrifying when we see our very own campus, Florida State University, featured. The reviews after people binged watched the show was that they couldn't believe cops didn't know it was Ted Bundy when all he did was lose weight and get a haircut when he escaped. Or one of the more interesting features is of the beloved green beetle on Lafayette Street that every student has seen at least once. There are three reactions that have surfaced from many viewers that even Netflix has gotten involved.
First, the obvious one, that everyone is becoming obsessed with the idea that Ted Bundy was hot instead of focusing on the fact that he was a horrible serial killer. The idea that Bundy was an attractive man is true but, but he used this charm and his looks as a way to attract women and kill them. The Netflix Twitter account took matters into its own hands and replied to a follower.
Another thing that has confused viewers is when Bundy escaped that the police really couldn't identify him because he simply got a haircut and lost weight. "He had his hair cut off and he changed his part from one side to the other, and he made himself look completely different," Michaud recalled for the Netflix special. People were shocked that it took the police some time to realize it was Bundy when they found him. Maybe it was because there wasn't as much technology as there is today, but who knows.
Lastly, this one is to the students at Florida State University who have seen the infamous Green Beetle on Lafayette Street in Tallahassee. Whether you lived at Southgate, passed it on your way to class or just walked down the street for fun, you've definitely noticed the green car. I was told to watch a certain scene in the Ted Bundy tapes because you could see the green beetle in the background. My friends and I were left wondering if the car really hasn't moved since 1974 when it was seen in the series. I've definitely never seen it move an inch. Below, are pictures for reference so you can see for yourself.

So, if you haven't watched the "Ted Bundy Tapes" on Netflix you definitely should because it's very interesting to see and hear about one of the most infamous serial killers.
