So often I see technology as the focus in our lives.

It has become so prevalent in our society that there are Cell phone LAWS.

As I type this I am on my laptop, watching youtube on my television. I used to read three times a week. I cannot tell you the last time I made myself turn everything off, surrender my mind to the moment and read. I haven't meditated in a month. I haven't been without a source of internet or technology in a long time.

Why do we feel such an attachment to technology? what is the formula? Will we, as a human race, ever learn to put the technology last instead of first?

I wonder everyday how our society has been blind sighted by this epidemic! Go to a restaurant with your family, snapchat it.

Go to a concert, facebook and Instagram or it didn't happen.

This is the reality most of this new generation is facing!

Advice?

STOP. Make yourself put your phone down. turn the tv off. take the ear buds out of your ear and listen to the people interacting around you. you learn about yourself and your community when you step outside of yourself and open your eyes to what is in front of you. You will be all the better for it.
