Former college and NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has found himself a new sport to try out: baseball. Tebow played baseball back in his high school days but has not played since then. So why is he trying to become a professional baseball player all of a sudden? The answer to that is only in the mind of Tim Tebow himself. He recently had a pro day to show off his skills, and for not playing the game since high school, he was not too bad. Tebow showed off some nice power when he was swinging the bat. He hit a couple of home runs which is always a good thing when trying to be signed by a pro team. While he was pretty good at the bat, his fielding was below average for someone trying to make into the big leagues. Overall, the Tim Tebow baseball tryout was not awful, but it was not great either, it was more on the average side of things.
After having the chance to show off his skills and try to convince teams that he is indeed good enough to play baseball after so much time away from the game, it has been reported that at least two Major League Baseball teams are showing interest in signing him to a minor league deal. The Colorado Rockies and Atlanta Braves are the two who have shown the most interest and are the leaders for signing Tebow. Tim is 29 years of age, which means that if he does sign a minor league deal with one of those teams, he would have to make an immediate impact down in the minors if he wants any chance at playing time up in the MLB. So, will Tim Tebow's professional baseball career get started with the Braves or the Rockies? Only time will tell.
