Before I dig into these movie teasers, make sure you watch the teasers I have linked in this article! If you already have... full speed ahead!

Thor: Ragnarok

Out of all the MCU movies, this movie seems like it will have the most stakes presented for our Thunder God. His father is missing (even though we know he's dead), his entire home and dimension Asgard may be wiped out, and a bigger threat is approaching (Ragnarok). Here's a link for the mythological background of Ragnarok; it's basically the Norse apocalypse. Thor seems to be the villain losing the most compared to the other Avengers in this movie, which will make it all the more enticing to see how he will overcome it.

I was happy to see that this film was borrowing elements from the "Planet Hulk" comic! (Just imagine me squealing the moment I knew Hulk was going to come out into the coliseum!) I think it will be a nice tie-in for the MCU, since they are pretty much doing their own thing. And do I smell a team-up?

Hopefully the villain Hela will return later in Infinity Wars and is not just another temporary villain. She looks very intimidating compared to the mehness of Dark World's villain, and she will bring much more to the table. She is the Asgardian goddess of death, so let's see some great action!

Also, it's great to see Chris Hemsworth play with his actual hairstyle, haha!

"Thor: Ragnarok" hits theaters on November 3, 2017 (YAS!).

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

I feel like Rey is struggling with her training to become a Jedi, and she will continue to struggle throughout the movie. Rome was not built in a day, and neither will her powers, so we're going to have to grin and bear it with her throughout the movie. But her gasp at the beginning was a friggin' jump scare!

The logo of the movie is very foreboding with the deep red and rather sullen music at the end of the teaser. This could mean a lot of terrible events are set to happen in the movie, especially with the scene of Poe and BB3 getting caught in the explosions and Luke's statement about the Jedi coming to an end.

By the way, I really have to applaud Disney for releasing a Star Wars movie every year around the same time since 2015 (when "The Force Awakens" came out). Let's smash that turnout, boys and girls, especially in memory of the late Carrie Fisher.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" releases to theaters on December 15, 2017 (Yippee!)

Deadpool 2 (Extended Teaser!)

I know I'm a little late getting to this, but I think it is very nice to address, especially since Marvel is lining up to knock the box office out of the park these next three years.

First off, I'm not surprised. However, I love the trailer for bringing Deadpool's character back up to speed and away from the romance: he's an anti-hero who doesn't care. Even though he failed to save the civilian, he acted very nonchalant about it - which may be the focus of "Deadpool 2." Will Wade Wilson be able to fulfill his role as a hero? Or will he be motivated to do it through money or limited edition chimichanga? I don't know - we'll see what Reynolds and the writers come up with.

Since Josh Brolin is confirmed to play Cable, a recurring time-travel character in Deadpool's stories, the film is starting to look more and more enticing the more information we get about it! Zazie Beetz from FX's "Atlanta" is confirmed to play the character Domino as well.

By the way, the advertisers are trolls for that last "Coming Soon" message, but you got to love them. At least we got the video title to go buy - 2018.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
