Here lately, we've heard a lot of talk about a firecracker in Texas named Tomi Lahren. She's not your average commentator, and I mean that in a good way.
I recently came across a petition to have Tomi's segment "Final Thoughts" removed from Fox news. Now, not only does this bother me because I am a huge Tomi Lahren fan, but it also bothers me because our media fills our minds with nothing but lies and fear. Tomi gets on and gives the truth, the cold hard truth which many Americans need to wake up and hear. I'm #TeamTomi because I believe in telling it like it is and not sugarcoating things to tickle your ear.
One of the main reasons for the petition was that Tomi recently made a statement in a segment referring the Black Lives Matter movement as the "new KKK." I agree with this statement. The Black Lives Matter movement is in no way a peaceful movement. Every protest they've ever had has ended up in a shooting and a war on cops. You cannot fight violence with violence; killing cops will not solve the problem and standing in the middle of the dang intersection is not going to give your movement respect. Maybe the BLM movement needs to take a look back into history and realize that the KKK killed blacks simply because they were black, just as they call for the death of all cops simply because they're cops.
Another reason for the petition is because Tomi is anti-Obama and that suddenly makes her a racist. I agree with Tomi when she says that Obama is dividing this nation. As a president, your job is not to get up on national television and defend one race against the other. Yes, I agree that no one should be killed simply due to their race, but when the Black Lives Matter movement blames whites for the numerous deaths of African-Americans and turns a blind eye to the fact that there is three times more violence within black communities — black on black crime — they lose all respect from me. Our president is using this racial tension to cause even more problems instead of being the leader he was sworn into office to be and unifying the nation.
A final reason Tomi isn't well liked within liberal and democratic circles is because she raises her voice and has a tendency to yell during her segments. Her yelling must trigger them and make them need to find a Safe Space. I'm sorry, but if discussing the current events in our nation, the wrongful deaths of our citizens (African American and cops included) and the crooked politicians who are finding joy out of this chaos doesn't cause you to get a little pissed off, maybe you need to take a reality check. I commend Tomi Lahren for getting on television and giving it to us straight. If more Americans were as concerned with the chaotic state of our nation than a 23-year-old republican on TV, maybe we'd actually get something done.
And those are my final thoughts. God bless you, God bless Tomi Lahren and God bless America.
