As many of you know, the 2016 Summer Olympics just wrapped up. The events which were help in Rio Brazil this year- began with opening ceremony on August 5th and the closing ceremony being held on August 21st but the games to end for another four years. This years Olympic games were definitely worth watching and since it's nearly impossible to watch every event and hear every story, so here is a Rio recap of six stories, and Team USA Olympians really worth knowing about:

1. Michael Phelps

The most decorated Olympian of all time, put in his last year at this years summer games. After coming out of retirement for one more round of summer Olympics, Phelps ended his career with six new medals and one new Olympic Record. Of these six new medals Phelps obtained five gold, and one silver, and also broke the Olympic record in the Men's 4x100m Medley Relay Race. In total Phelp's holds twenty two medals total (eighteen gold, two silver and one bronze).

2. Boomer Phelps

Michael Phelps may have won ten new medals at this years Olympic Games, but his son Boomer won the online Olympics and the hearts of many. Many reporters, narrators, and other media talked about this cute little Phelps who attended the games to watch his dad bring home the gold! With his own Instagram, he made many appearances and statements of support and hinted at the fact that maybe we will see another Phelps on the Olympic podium in the future?

3. Katie Ledecky

This Olympian who already held the world record time in the women's 800m freestyle, set it shorter by two whole seconds. Ledecky now holds the world and Olympic record in this event. During the 800m freestyle, she finished twelve seconds clear of every other participant! Along with this one gold she won three others, and one silver. Ledecky also hinted this was her last Olympic games.

4. Simone Biles

This extremely positive and driven nineteen year old gymnast really took the summer games by storm. Simone Biles landed herself the award for women's all-around Olympic gold medal. On top of that Biles left the Olympics with five other medals that included four gold and one bronze. She also will be featured in Teen Vogue with Gabby Douglas and got a chance to meet Zac Efron. Biles was in the top three to bring home the most medals for team USA, and was the only non swimming Olympian out of the top six most medalists.

5. Ryan Lochte

The Ryan Lochte scandal is a big deal. This is scandal is a little bigger than what happened to his bleach blonde hair once he returned from Rio. Lochte has all kinds of spot light on him, but not the good kind. Lochte told a story that got three of his team mates help up in Rio, and caused him to loose some major sponsorships. This story that Lochte told stated that himself, and three other swimmers were help at gun point and robbed by a Rio man dressed as a police officer. Recent surveillance showed that this story was not really the truth. Lochte and the other swimmers had been intoxicated and caused some damage at a gas station, the gas station security guard then asked them to pay for the damage they had caused while they all were 'help up' sitting on the curb.

6. Team USA

Team USA as a whole, did a fantastic job at the summer games. The Olympic team all together brought home one hundred and twenty one medals- Forty six being gold, thirty seven being silver, and thirty eight being bonze. Team USA also brought home the 1000th gold medal in summer Olympics.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
