High school sucks, but teachers are cool and make high school manageable.

My days in high school were littered with problems. I liked learning, but class wasn't a fun environment to learn in, so I was almost always miserable. My family also had it's fair share of ups and downs during my four years in high school.

It was a rough four years overall, but there was one thing that always helped. I would spend a lot of time with my teachers. I spent my lunch period and any other free time I had in one of my teachers' room.

I had a close relationship with seven teachers in particular throughout high school. The relationship I formed with those seven teachers were my saving grace. I always had a place to turn whenever I needed help in school or in life. They made me smile on the days where no one else could. In the end, they made high school bareable and almost even enjoyable.

To Those Seven Teachers,

I've learned more than just the lessons taught in class. Each one of you have taught me valuable life lessons that I'll carry with me the rest of my life. You all have prepared me for life after school by sharing your own stories of both success and failure. I feel ready to take on anything life throws my way because you were the group of people helping me prepare for life in the real world.

I've learned from you all, but I've also just enjoyed the company you gave me. Obviously not all my time was equally spent with each of you, but every minute, no matter how short, mattered.

I met a group of people who made me laugh on my worst days, challenged me to see things in different ways, and most of all gave me some of my favorite memories from high school.

Every conversation I had made my days better because I had some one to talk to that understood more of the world than I ever could at my age. Each of you brought different outlooks, but every different view I learned just expanded my world. Even the stories I've heard from your lives have taught me about life and most of the time made me laugh which is always a good thing.

I had fun spending all my time with you seven individuals and I'll never forget all the amazing memories, stories, and lessons we shared. I always wanted to be friends with you all and it will probably never happen but just know the intent is there.

All in all, you are a wonderful group of people who made this student's life better. Thank you for all you've done for me and all you've done for other students without even realizing it.

From,

RBF
Pop Trigger / YouTube

I'll admit it, I have a condition called RBF or, if you will, Resting Bitch Face.

Anna Kendrick, poor Kristen Stewart, the Queen of England are all life-long sufferers of RBF. Victoria Beckham even made a career out of it! And though it's usually used to describe women, some men are also afflicted. Kanye West is the best example of this.

April Ludgate

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
