Who's the best mascot in all the land? *Shakes head and scoffs at the ignorance.* Such a silly question to ask.

It's not Herky.

It's not Cy.

Obviously it's the University of Northern Iowa panther, TC.

I mean really, who doesn't love TC? He's the literally the coolest cat on campus.

That band uniform though #OnPoint.

TC loves everything about the University of Northern Iowa and supports pretty much everything and everyone.

Literally. (And we support him too!)

Literally.

I mean, you see that cat everywhere. Any university event, he is there. Doesn't matter if the University of Northern Iowa is hosting it or not.

Yes, the Minnesota security guy was very excited to take a photo with TC... if you couldn't tell.

TC not only loves campus, but he loves the students, faculty, staff and their families.

TC also loves hanging out with alumni!

TC can sometimes be found hanging at the Alumni House...

Just playing some football with the St. Stephen's neighbor cats from across the street.

...or stirring up some shenanigans in Maucker Union...

#Scandalous!

...or outside Maucker Union...

...or hanging out at Alumni events.

But if you're looking for him and you can't find him, you will for sure find him at a sporting event, probably messing with the Pep Crew.

...or prowling through the crowd and making friends.

He's also pretty tight with the press (especially E-Media majors that have to work at sporting events).

So he gets a lot of screen time at games.

TC also loves meeting with the big names that visit campus. (Here's a lovely moment from when the Pope visited.)

He's not afraid to be a trailblazer in fashion.

#Flawless

He's also totally okay with showing his geeky side.

The Force is strong with this one.

And he gives the BEST hugs.

(He pretty much picked us both up in that one, and I'm pretty sure he indirectly cracked my back with that hug.)

TC's pretty awesome, and he's probably the most approachable mascot I've met. So don't be afraid of him or to approach him and ask for a photo or a high-four!

Aw TC!

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? I mean I went through four years of tough classes and serious self-searching (and crying). What I found overall was Senioritis sneaking up on me.

It takes a little while to get used to not seeing your high school best friends every day. Going away to college causes a lot of changes, but one thing that will never change is my love for my high school BFFs, and the texts that I get from them. College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
