Call It What You Want, But Here Is My Ranking of Taylor Swift's Seven Studio Albums

Since Taylor Swift released her first single, "Tim McGraw", back in 2006, she has grown to be one of the most well-known musicians in the industry.

In the span of 14 years, Taylor released seven studio albums, with the next one very different from the last.

Most Swifties have differing opinions on ranking her albums since they are all so different. Here is mine!

7. Taylor Swift (Debut)

townsquare.media

Release Date: October 24, 2006

Personal Favorites: Teardrops on My Guitar, Invisible, Should've Said No

My Opinion On This Album: I never find myself yearning to listen to Taylor's freshman album. It did provide us with some of the classics that we still sing to day, but it usually doesn't do it for me. Although, "Invisible" walked so "You Belong With Me" could run.

6. reputation

Release Date: November 10, 2017

Personal Favorites: Getaway Car, Call It What You Want, Dancing With Our Hands Tied

My Opinion On This Album: I have trust issues with people who choose reputation as their #1. I hate to rank it so low, but truthfully, most of her other music is better. It hardly feels like a Taylor Swift album. The songwriting was inferior to what she had previously put out, and I feel like she was trying way too hard in response to the hate she was getting. With that being said, it's still a good album, but not her best.

5. 1989

Release Date: October 27, 2014

Personal Favorites: You Are In Love, Style, Clean

My Opinion On This Album: This was the album which officially switched Taylor from country to pop, and everyone either loved it or hated it. I enjoyed it since the lyrics were true to Taylor, it was mainly the sound that was different.

4. Fearless

Release Date: November 11, 2008

Personal Favorites: Forever and Always, White Horse, Fifteen

My Opinion On This Album: I think Fearless depicts a teenager coming-of-age. Some of her most recognizable tracks are included on this album including "Love Story" and "You Belong With Me". It's timeless and I don't see how anyone could dislike it.

3. Speak Now

images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com

Release Date: October 25, 2010

Personal Favorites: Back to December, The Story of Us, Enchanted

My Opinion On This Album: I absolutely LOVED the Speak Now Era. I realized Taylor was growing up and had been through some tough times and had really been hurt. It was mature and tasteful, serving as a great followup to Fearless.

2. Lover

images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com

Release Date: August 23, 2019

Personal Favorites: Death By A Thousand Cuts, Cruel Summer, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince

My Opinion On This Album:Lover made me proud to be a Taylor Swift fan after years of calling her my "guilty pleasure". This album is comforting to listen to, and was there for me during my freshman year of college. She was finally happy, and the music reflected it. I cannot say enough good things about Lover.

1. Red

Release Date: October 22, 2012

Personal Favorites: Begin Again, Holy Ground, I Knew You Were Trouble

My Opinion On This Album: Every song sounds like a diary entry, where Taylor explores many different feelings. This album contains her best-written song, "All Too Well". This album will always hold a special place in my heart and I have been able to relate to it.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
