With an estimated net worth of 250 million dollars, countless hits and a myriad of awards, Taylor Swift has had quite the impressive career. Coming out with her first album in 2006, she has made a name for herself just within the last decade alone and continues to advocate for all women and feminists everywhere. There has been no other female artist that can compare to her level of success, as well as her philanthropic reputation for charity.
Now, you can't read all that and not believe me when I say I genuinely like her. I'm definitely pro T-Swift, but I'm afraid she's reached her pinnacle. The girl came out with a killer record two years ago, 1989, but can she really top that? As of late, she's been approaching a new genre of music (shocker), and it's not like anything she's ever done before. A collaboration with Zayn Malik? Of all the people??? And some people STILL consider her a country music artist?????????????
The constant changing of genre, the haircuts and new image; is she really growing as a person or is she just trying to stay relevant? This woman is now 27 years old (yes you read that right, 27 YEARS OLD, she ain't feelin' 22 anymore), and she still writes about her exes and even throws some nasty shade at them via twitter, too (look up Taylor Swift/Calvin Harris song, you won't regret it).
She had a lot going for her, but I daresay she might be getting a little too eccentric for her own good. This might be to try and escape from ending up as a host for some singing show on TV, where all the other irrelevant artists go to die when they're no longer popular, but is it all really worth it?
Really Taylor, if the rumors are true and you're supposedly featuring Drake and other rapper artists on your next album, do us all a favor and think long and hard before you go down that path.
Sincerely,
Every single OG Swifty fan out there who thinks you're now the most extra celebrity in existence
