Taylor Swift Lyrics That Speak To The Soul

As Taylor Swift finishes her 1989 World Tour, (with a vacation for the 125 people in her band and crew that helped her throughout the year), and another wildly successful year comes to a close, (Swift broke the record for the number of weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100, won 8 awards at the Billboard Music Awards, and her tour attendance is close to two million fans), it's important to remember why we all fell in love with her in the first place. Taylor Swift has lyrically rocked our worlds. She's taken the hearts of millions every since her first single released, given us all hopes and dreams and allowed us to connect with her on such a such a personal level. She has helped us live in fairytales and dream of the perfect romance, talked us through heartbreaks and let downs, and inspired us to be the best versions of ourselves.

So, here is a list of some of my favorite Taylor Swift lyrics, that without fail remind me why I've loved her for so many years (and why you should drop everything and blast some T-Swift).

"You tell me about your past thinking your future was me." -All Too Well

"Please don't be in love with someone else, please don't have somebody waiting on you." -Enchanted

"He's so tall, and handsome as hell, He's so bad, but he does it so well" -Wildest Dreams

"It's been occurring to me I'd like to hang out with you for my whole life" -Stay, Stay, Stay

"This night is sparkling don't you let it go. I'm wonder-struck, blushing all the way home" -Enchanted

"So in love that I acted insane" -The Way I Loved You

"So don't you worry your pretty little mind, people throw rocks at things that shine" -Ours

"Say you'll remember me" -Wildest Dreams

"In your life you'll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team" -Fifteen

"You should've said 'no', you should've gone home, You should've thought twice 'fore you let it all go" -Should've Said No

"So watch me strike a match on all my wasted time" -Picture To Burn

"You can tell me when it's over, if the high was worth the pain" -Blank Space

"You can plan for a change in weather or time, but I never planned on you changing your mind" -Last Kiss

"I've found time can heal most anything and you just might find who you're supposed to be" -Fifteen

"She's not a saint, and she's not what you think she's an actress, woah, she's better known for the things that she does on the mattress, woah" -Better Than Revenge

"Cause, baby, I could build a castle out of all the bricks they threw at me" -New Romantics

"Someday I'll be living in a big ole city, and all you're ever gonna be is mean" -Mean

"Count to ten take it in this is life before you know who you're gonna be" -Fifteen

"These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down" -Change

"Long live all the mountains we moved! I had the time of my life-fighting dragons with you" -Long Live

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
