Earlier this morning, Taylor Swift announced that she had a new album coming out. What really got fans shocked and excited was when they saw it was coming out TONIGHT. This comes after she had sort of "disappeared" from social media and wasn't as active, unless it was to post important things.

This came as a shock to a lot of fans because her 7th studio album "Lover" came out a little under a year ago. Taylor is also known for holding "Secret Sessions" for her albums since 1989, but obviously due to the last minute announcement and the pandemic, she did not do that this time. Which brings up the question for fans: is she stopping the Secret Sessions for good?
The First Lead Single "cardigan"
Taylor is also known for having a lead single released weeks before an album is set to drop. This time, the first single from the album, "cardigan," will be dropping alongside a video tonight at midnight as well.

Taylor announced that the album, "folklore," will have 16 songs, with a bonus song if you purchase the deluxe edition. Just from the looks of the album and her updated website, this album gives off a calm, fall vibe. Which brings up the question, are there any upbeat pop songs like her previous 3 albums, or is she going a complete different direction with this album? Either way, I'm sure it'll be amazing!
