Taylor Swift's love life has never really been a secret because she is constantly dating different celebrities and always writes a breakup song when they are over. She is famous for her breakup songs.
When she started dating Scottish EDM artist Calvin Harris, 32, it seemed like just one more of her "casual" relationships until they reached their one-year anniversary. That's actually the longest relationship Swift has ever had. To be honest, I thought Swift might even end up marrying Harris but then they broke up. It was just too good to be true.
However, there wasn't enough time to process the Taylor-Calvin breakup before Swift started dating actor Tom Hiddleston, 35, just a few weeks after it was over with Harris. It was just too soon to start a new relationship. It makes you wonder how serious was her relationship with Harris if she was able to move on so fast?
At first, it was said that Swift and Harris had broken up because he didn't like the spotlight and all the attention he was getting because of Swift, but then pictures of Swift and Hiddleston started spreading and everybody was able to make their own conclusions as to why Swift and Harris broke up. Sources say that Harris suspected something was going on between Swift and Hiddleston when they were still dating.
How much time do you have to wait to start dating again after a breakup? This can be very tricky. If you are a girl and you start dating soon after a breakup people will call you a "slut," "whore," etc. If you are a guy then you are a "jerk," "a**hole," etc.
Call me a hopeless romantic but for me you need time for yourself after a breakup if you were dating someone you truly loved. I don't feel like there's a specific time or a rule of how long you have to wait before dating someone new, it's just that how are you going to be able to love someone new if you are not over your previous relationship? Unfortunately, you can't control your feelings, and I don't think the best way of getting over someone is to start seeing someone else. This only hurts you even more, and it's not fair to the new person you are dating.
I think that the time it takes you to start seeing someone new determines how serious was your previous relationship. If you truly loved that person then it's definitely not easy to move on, and it'd break your heart if you see that person move on really fast.
Take time and enjoy your life, your money and your friends. I love Taylor Swift but don't move on too fast ... don't be a Taylor (in this situation).
