Target: The Definition of a Love/Hate Relationship

If you hear the word "shopping" and automatically think "Target" then this article most likely describes you and you should continue on this reading adventure. If "Target" does not come to mind, you, too, should continue to read and learn why you need to have an obsession with Target.

Going to Target is not only meant for your shopping needs, it is also meant as a leisure activity. Now, I'm sure the creator of Target was not aiming the store to be used as a hangout spot, but there's just something about the feel of Target that makes you want to be there for hours for absolutely no reason. It's not meant as a store you shop at when you absolutely need something. If I really needed something, I would go down the road to a local store. It's also meant for the person who has absolutely no reason to be inside Target, but have ultimately found themselves with a cart full of items that they really do not need, but want anyway.

And if you've found yourself at Target, you've also most likely found yourself carrying a Starbucks coffee and/or eating something from the Target food court. Now is the time to stop lying and accept the fact that you, and others, have made their way to the food court to get a slushy or soft pretzel. We've all done it, just embrace it.

Cut to the ahhh-mazing items Target sells. If you're a girl and have never bought a bathing suit top and/or bottom from Target, you should probably reevaluate your life. Also, Target is your one-stop shop to everything Taylor Swift when she releases a new album (the deluxe version that is). It's also the perfect place for dorm/house shopping, and if you've planned out your future house decor while in their store, you're a true fan and avid shopper.

Although all of these perfect qualities have some downsides (like the decline of my bank account), Target will forever be #1 in my heart and #1 in my checking account.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.
