Every college girl loves Target and everyone else just doesn't understand. It seems to be a common trend that every Target run for toothpaste turns into a full-on shopping spree. Why? Here, I compiled a ranked list explaining the mindset behind every college girl and her obsession with Target.

1. Dollar Aisle

Surprise, surprise? Not quite. For college girls, this is a no-brainer. This section is conveniently located right as we walk into the Target heaven. We understand that this aisle is full of things we don't need but really need. We quickly spend twenty dollars on twenty items and defeat the purpose of the cheap dollar section; but, we all agree that there's something special about this aisle because it just gets us every time.

2. Clothing Section

I love when someone asks me where I got my sweater and I simply reply "Target!". We've all asked and answered the question, and seem surprised when that's the person's reply. But, are we really? Target is a consistent go-to for sweaters, scarves, and comfy t-shirts.

3. Mug Aisle

Coffee cups, to-go mugs, cute sayings, everything cute galore! This aisle is ranked #3 on every girl's list because even if we don't buy an item, this aisle is still aesthetically pleasing. (Not to mention, this section is always holiday themed).

4. School Supply Aisle

School supplies are a must-have for all college students, but college girls see the value in Target school supplies. Not only is this aisle full of super cute necessities for every subject, but Target also participates in "buy one, give one" for certain spirals, pens, etc. If that's not a good enough reason, check out the color scheme.

5. Shoe Section

Converse, booties, flip flops and more! We never know what we will find in the shoe section, therefore we must walk through it every time we stop by. Some of us can even fit our feet into kid's sizes, so we can catch a bargain on that one!

6. Book Section

College girls get run down. With that being said, there's nothing better than making tea in our newest mug with an inspirational saying (bought at Target) and reading a good book. Target has a wide selection and it isn't uncommon to see a red and white 20% off sticker on books! Good work, Target, good work.

7. Candy Aisle

This aisle can quench all of our cravings- from chocolate to sweets! Honestly, this aisle isn't unlike every other candy aisle in grocery stores. . . but, it's Target, so it makes it better. Duh.

8. Cat Food Aisle

Last but not least, this aisle makes the list because we obviously have to feed our feline friends. . . but only after we spend a bunch of money on things we don't need.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
