Taplet, available for download by visiting zona.gotaplet.com on an iPhone, lets people easily pull out HD photos and video clips from any footage.The design of the app stems from taking fundamental gestures we use on our mobile devices, like tapping and holding, then turning them into functional actions. Taplet's goal is to simplify content generation and editing by using these gestures to its advantage and to build a personalized video sharing platform like no other.

While a simple app, Taplet certainly does a great deal of hard work in the background. The company uses intelligent imaging techniques to ensure photos retrieved from videos are at a much higher quality than found using the traditional screenshot method. The app also supports all types of video sources, such as iPhone and GoPro, and has been experiencing double-digit growth since its introduction to Wildcats.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
