Talladega College’s band started their drive to the inauguration Wednesday afternoon. The journey to getting to this point was not easy, though. I have seen people on social media go both ways with the decision making. Some were for the band going, and some opposing it.

Within a view moments after the President of Talladega College, Dr. Billy Hawkins, was on The O’Reilly Factor, the bands GoFundMe accounts skyrocketed with donations. The GoFundMe account has a $671,625 total out of a $75,000 goal. The last donation was thirty-three minutes ago, so that means donations are STILL rolling in! That also means great things for the band and what they can do with the money in the future. They say funds will be needed by January 25th... I think they have more than needed! They started off really needed the money, they definitely got it!

This tweet started the debacle and showed how the alumni and student's really felt about how they were taking the band's decision to participate in the inauguration.

You can click the tweet and read how people responded to this. It is interesting to see how people argue their stances.

“These young people are citizens and they deserve to be here,” College president Dr. Billy Hawkins told Inside Edition. He even received a couple of death threats after the college accepted the invite.

For the students that couldn’t make it to the inauguration, they spent their entire day waiting for their band to shine on national television. They made history for their college and their band really stole the show.

Trump is enjoying himself during their performance. It's amazing to watch.
