Tall Girl Problems

1. Jeans, pants, leggings...just forget about it, you're essentially wearing capris.

2. "Wow, you're tall!"

3. "Do you play basketball? Or volleyball? You're telling me you let all that height go to waste?"

4. Need a date for an event? They will probably be shorter than you or the same height so don't plan on wearing heels unless you want to look like a giant.

5. "How tall are your parents?"

6. "How tall are you?"

7. Shoes, boots, any footwear...it's proportionate to your height.

8. Walking under a tree involves bending down so your hair doesn't get caught.

9. Longer limbs = awkward body movements.

10. Group photos consist of everyone looking cute in the first couple of rows and the top of your head in the back row.

11. Airplane rides mean sitting with your knees pressed against a strangers back.

12. Disneyland is fun, but your legs are not meant for those rides either.

13. Dresses, skirts, and shorts always look slutier.." it's because my legs are long."

14. You probably got dress code in high school.

15. You can never pass for younger...this means no kiddie meals and no discounts...even when you were actually 10.

16. People refer to you as giant...(the proper terminology is tall).

17. Falls are more intense because you're further from the ground than an average person.

18. Hide and go seek is not easy.

19. Desks are always a struggle because your legs don't fit.

20. Basically every day tasks are just that much more awkward.

If you're a tall girl, you know the struggle, but don't forget that there are positives to being tall as well. We have advantages when it comes to sports, people take us seriously, we can reach things on high shelves, we have amazingly long legs, and best of all...we have a higher chance of becoming models. From one tall girl to another, embrace your height and know that you're beautiful.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended.
