New York Fashion Week 2016 was groundbreaking, and I'm not just talking about the newest fall fashions. This year, NYFW had some additions that make it one of the most diverse and inclusive in its history. Among the fashion icons on the carpet, two stand out as worthy of a watch.

Ashley Graham's line Addition Elle was marketing body positivity. Everything was designed for and modeled by plus size women, and boy did they kill it.

This is Ashley Graham herself. She walks the walk and talks the talk as she crushes the idea of the stereotypical model with her confidence and style.

Her diverse crew modeled lingerie for women with curves.

Her collection debuted in 2013 but only recently came to the United States.

Hi, yes, I'd like ten of those. She says this is very important for the younger generation. She wants to teach them to love themselves and that they can look good no matter what size they wear.

She also gave a Ted talk called "Plus size? More Like My Size!" in which she talks body positivity and loving yourself. You can watch it here.

The show was streamed live on Facebook on Addition Elle's page. You can find that video of the show here, the models begin at 16:10. We saw a lot of great designs by Ashley Graham, but the most impressive part of the model's walks was their confidence!

Hooray for a fabulous line and confidence in yourself!

The other line of particular note was Anneisa Hasibuan's first ever all-hijab line.

This was truly a win for modest fashion, for it was the first time ever that a line like this has made it to NYFW.

These stunning designs are also the mark of the first Indonesian woman's line to make an appearance on the catwalk.

Thirty year old Hasibuan is a relative newcomer to the fashion industry, but her designs follow the styles of her Muslim heritage and hometown in Indonesia.

These stunning designs are traditional in Indonesia where modest dress is strongly encouraged. Modest fashion is also finding new popularity around the world.

Here, Anniesa Hasibuan is shown with her standing ovation after her groundbreaking line of modest fashion complete with hijabs for every model.

This year's New York Fashion Week has truly been a step in the direction of equality and inclusiveness for women of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities. These lines have received incredible praise from both fashionistas and the general public. Now we all look forward to even more diverse and inclusive fashion next year!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
