As I sit in my room overlooking the white winter wonderland that covers our Iowa ground, I can't help but imagine all of the wonderful scenery that I have left to discover.

I have had a terrible itch to travel lately and have been desiring to see the world from a different perspective. You see, my traveling experiences have not let me to go out of the country, which is something I want to do more than anything.

Now don't get me wrong—as a kid, my parents were great with taking my brother and I to discover new landscapes across the United States. We have seen DisneyWorld, the Grand Canyon, and our nation's capitol, which were all amazing vacation destinations. Nonetheless, observing a few of my friends studying abroad has me dreaming about life overseas.

There is something about being submersed into a completely different culture that has me intrigued.

Europe, out of all locations, has such a charm that attracts tourists from all walks of life. The landscape is gorgeous, the cities are bustling, and the architecture is incredible. I am hoping that someday I am able to discover all that Europe has to offer, as touring that continent would be a true blessing.

One European country that specifically sparks interest to me is Germany. After watching plenty of World War II documentaries with my dad, I find that all of the historical locations of Germany have an immense about of meaning. It would be unbelievable to witness the buildings and architecture where several World War II events took place.

Austria is another location that pulls at my heartstrings. I would absolutely adore visiting the location where the "Sound of Music" took place. This would also cause for an impromptu photoshoot of myself posing as Fraulein Maria on the grassy landscape.

I'm sure this country has more to offer than just tourism pertaining to the "Sound of Music." Vienna is a city that I would definitely have to visit while discovering the sites and sounds of Austria as well.

Lastly, I am incredibly interested in the wonderful country located off of the continent of Australia, which is New Zealand. Being the agriculturalist that I am, I have heard plenty about New Zealand's agricultural practices and find that it would be a great way to gain a new cultural perspective. New Zealand has plenty of beautiful landscapes which provide for all of the sixty million sheep that live there!

As you can see, I am a bit outrageous with some of my travel desires—nonetheless, I plan to someday visit each of these places for myself. I am ready to take in the history and ethnicity that comes with each city, country, and continent. So without further adieu, here's to creating travel plans and dreaming of my future adventures.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing!
