For many individuals, naps are an important aspect of making sure that they stay energized and refreshed throughout the day. Whether you take a 20-minute nap or an hour-long nap, sometimes naps are a priority for many individuals to make sure that they stay awake and productive for the rest of the day. These five things are reasons why all students in college should start taking naps.

1. Naps that last around 15 to 90 minutes are proven to help brain function

Naps are proven to improve brain function and improve memory and creativity for the rest of the day. This allows many individuals to finish their work and be productive for the rest of the day. If you know you have a lot of work to do for the rest of the day, it is smart to take a short nap to make sure you put in your best effort for homework and projects.

2. Naps make you more productive

Naps allow individuals to have a boost of energy and create a better mood for the rest of the day. It allows the individual to keep focus and finish their work more efficiently than being drowsy for the time they are trying to complete their work.

3. Naps are proven to improve your health

It is shown that people who take a nap at least three times a week are proven to less likely to have heart disease and lower blood pressure. Taking time to have naps may benefit you in the long run and help you stay as healthy as possibly could be.

4. Help with anxiety and mental disorders

Being sleep deprived could lead to anxiety and other mental disorders. When you to take naps it allows you to keep your mind sharp.
