Many times we tend to overthink a situation, we tend to get overly stressed about a single idea and in those instances, we tend to forget how to breathe for a split second. I mean it's common sense; if you don't breathe, you obviously won't live. But that's beside the point. In the fast-paced world, we're living in today, it's more than important to take a step back, listen to what people are telling you and just relax for a while.
I'm the kind of person who will tend to overthink a situation for the longest time. The older I get the more I tend to get anxious about the smallest of situations. In those times, I forget how to breathe and in those instances, the most important thing to do is step back and evaluate the situation and think about what could go right instead of wrong. In the world that we live in today, it's clear that it's easy to get sucked into what's going on around you, however, once in a while you should just step back from all of that and realize that it's okay to step back and take a breath.
All my life, I've always kept what I'm thinking or what I want to say to myself and because of this, I tend to overthink and usually this doesn't end well. I always forget to step back and take a little breather. However, being away and on my own at college, I've learned to combat my little hobby of overthinking and have slowly started to learn how to step back and not take everything so seriously and most importantly I've learned how to take a little breath from all the hustle and bustle. It's usually the smallest of things which can stress a person out, and knowing me I'm a tiny person and stress and I are definitely frenemies. In the world that we live in today, it's fairly easy to get stressed out by anything that comes your way. It's just the way the 21st century works. However, people need to realize that if you just stress yourself out all the time and always overthink situations, you will eventually miss all the good and worthwhile opportunities and moments that cross your path.
Now I don't want to preach anymore because I think that's exactly what I've done for the past three paragraphs. But one thing that I want people to take out from this 'preacher' is that it's never bad to just sit back and relax, just for a bit, because in those instances you'll feel as though you're on top of the world and that everything is just right.
