It's been quite a while since Paris Hilton has been out in the public eye, and unfortunately, she's back and people are not happy about it.
Here's a quick rundown on Paris, if you don't already know her.
She's the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton (the guy who founded that hotel chain).
She signed with Trump's modeling agency "Trump Model Management" when she was a teenager.
In 2001, her and her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon made a sex tape (which still has me baffled), and it was later released to the public in 2003. Guess what the title was? ONE NIGHT IN PARIS. Gross.
This was released only a few weeks before her and her lifelong bestie Nichole Richie's new TV show "The Simple Life," which ran until its unfortunate end in 2007.
She sang to us in 2006 when she released her single "Stars Are Blind," which surprisingly became super popular along with her album that I never knew existed.
If that GIF doesn't explain her, I don't know what else really can tbh.
But besides her multiple arrests and other nonsensical BS that she got herself into, Paris is the epitome of an heiress who has more money than she knows what to do with.
Now I'll get to the point.
Paris Hilton released a statement saying that the recent attacks in France and Germany were "seriously frightening her" and now she needs to "watch her back". And no, I'm not kidding. She also told reporters that "I’m a famous person who could be a definite target for an attack, and that is something that sometimes terrifies me".
People are not enthused.
To be honest, she's famous, she's wealthy, she's pretty well known... But so are a lot of other celebrities. Her argument doesn't have much validation besides those facts. Maybe if Paris took her head out of her ass, she'd realize that everyone is a potential target, and there are other people in the world, people who would love to have a life like hers, that have every reason, that she DOES NOT HAVE, to live in fear.
But she doesn't stop there, she openly boasted about how she doesn't go around with security when she goes out because she wants to be normal.
That's right, little miss Paris made it publicly known in her little release that she goes out by herself, security free. If I were you, Paris, I'd rethink that lack of security. Not only have you just brought yourself back into the spotlight, you've put a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. The likelihood of you being specifically targeted by ISIS are slim, but the likelihood of you being targeted by some psychopath have increased greatly. Great job.
Money can buy a lot of things today, unfortunately humility and common sense aren't on the market yet. If, on the off chance they become available, I hope Paris can find it in herself to splurge on them. She really needs it.
