Take Advantage Of Weather Events

In This Article:

One of the best ways to get more out of today is by spending time outside.

1. Check the forecast before you go to bed. If there is an event that you're particularly interested in, be sure to check it out!

2. Bring an umbrella with you if the forecast calls for rain or sun. You never know when it will start raining or shining, so being prepared can save you from having to run back into the house for your umbrella later on.

3. If it's really hot outside, take advantage of shady spots and air-conditioning while you can. If it starts to cool down, be sure to hit the pool or go for a walk outdoors.

4. Stay safe during any weather event - make sure you know what roads are closed and how to stay safe when crossing them. And be aware of flash flooding - if there is even a chance of rain near where you live, don't drive in it!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.
