At this point in the semester, college students are overloaded with work, feeling sick, and just generally rundown. Somedays are harder than others and things in life tend to pile up. No matter how organized you are, everyone gets behind.

While we all may feel like "dropping out," it's not the solution. Instead of throwing away your education, try taking a mental health day!

So what do you do on a mental health day? (And if you're really stressed, take the whole weekend. You deserve it!)

Anything that makes you happy and stress-free.

Sleep in, get a good breakfast, catch-up on some television, or hang out with friends (coordinate your mental health days!). Basically, to have a successful mental health day, you just need to get away from your obligations.

Sure, it may sound hard to just drop everything you're working on for one day, but it is so worth it.

Skipping your classes or work shouldn't become a frequent habit, but skipping one day every so often will not kill your GPA.

It is important to get away from everything that stresses you out, it's an aspect of self-care.

So don't hesitate in taking a mental health day.

Here are 10 ideas of what you can do on your next mental health day:

1. Catch up on some television

2. Eat lots of junk food

3. Hang out with some friends

4. Spend some alone time

5. Listen to your favorite music

6. Sleep

7. Wear some comfy clothes

8. Avoid all of your responsibilities

9. Eat some more junk food

10. Sleep some more
