This is a response to the article, "Dressing For Yourself and Not Others, With Confidence and Comfort."
I always like to dress comfy but stylish. I like to dress to feel the best version of myself. Even on my lazy days off. I couldn't care less if people judge about what I wear or not. I only want to please myself. And in opinion, anyone should do the same. People should dress to only please themselves.
When I was a preteen, I wanted to dress to impress my fellow peers. I tried to dress like other girls. But I knew I didn't feel like myself. I thought I would be more popular if I tried to dress what was trendy at that time. But now as a 25 year old, that did not matter anymore. As I grew up, I've learned to not conform to society pressure because I've figured out it doesn't matter and life is too short to worry about the silliest things. I figured that I would be happier to be my authentic self.
For now on, I only dress to impress myself. I like to dress in sundresses, leggings, crop tops, big chunky sweaters, heels, shorts, and sweats of course. I dress how I want, depending if I'm going out or not or how I'm feeling that day.
To anyone reading this, dress to feel like yourself. Do not care if people judge or not. Haters are going to hate. It's your life so live it by wearing what you want. Since it's getting closer summer, you can catch me wearing sundresses, shorts, and crop tops.
