Seeking Self and Change
An original poem to send strength in the search of self and change in the current state of the world. It all starts with us.
Hey readers. This week's poem flowed with little time at all. In this world, I feel it necessary to remember who we are, what we strive for, and keeping the goal of change in mind. Progress doesn't happen overnight, not within an individual nor in a society. However, please allow this piece to give you a zealous heart, mind, and soul. Change starts with how we look at ourselves and each other. Many blessings and peace to you.
In a moment, there is clarity
The mind wanders not again
On the things that caused so much confusion
A cloud appears in the blue skies,
All alone as if to signal hope
Where there is pause, do not equate it to
Lost progress
Stagnant dreams
Distant encouragement
Instead, close your eyes
Fill the space with your happiness
Bliss
Essence
Pour into the atmosphere
Passion for more like molten lava
A cascade of true joy
That no one can own or take away
In these moments, there is purpose
The spirit moves forward once more
Recognizing the sadness of the past
But transforming it into glittering summer
A flower blooms in a field of grass
Singular in beauty against the backdrop,
Reminding you of possibility
To the chagrin of human nature,
You are limitless
Your aura is magic
Harvest within you beauty
Such as the flower in the space
Did it not fill it with being exactly what it was?
Do you not still see it and admire it even without any other buds around?
You
Indeed, just like the cloud
Like the flower
You are special
You are unique
You are valued
In a world where others compete,
You are the most special thing
Even without me seeing you face to face
I know it
So should you
An author's words may not seem
Personal at best
But, cloud
Flower
Be you
The world is so shattered
Take the hand of what you've been afraid of
Tears flow down my face
But I believe to change this world,
Can we not shine and be the light for someone else and be brave?
I've been saddened, worried, and anguished for too long
Let's fill the space with who we are
Forever and all
