For All The Friends That Made Freshman Year Amazing
I literally don't know what I'll do without you all this summer.
I never thought I'd meet such a wonderful group of people.
I never thought that in just a few months (that flew by far too quickly) that I would have created such strong bonds with so many different, amazing girls.
To the best girlfriends a gal could ever ask for, I want to say thank you.
Thanks for saying hi, for introducing yourself. Thanks for giving me those awkward first hugs or sharing our first cries together. Thanks for being the go-to girls I talk to about scandalous things with or the ones I always go to for advice.
For some people, it takes a while to truly find your people, your tribe, your squad. For others, it's always been easy. I'm part of the former group like many are, but the minute I stepped on campus I knew that I was going to make some amazing friendships.
However, I never expected to get so lucky with all of you.
You all have really helped me come out of my shell. To my fashion taste, music choices, to even the food I like now, you all have introduced me to new things and have helped me further define myself. You've given me so much more confidence in myself, inside and out. You all have really made me feel my most beautiful, my most loved, and my most happy.
Thank you for the nights spent getting ready to go out, getting meals together, or toasting each other and cracking up in the hall. Thank you for the tradition of weekly Polaroid pictures that we stick to the wall. Thank you for the hilarious Snapchat videos that I'll forever look back on and laugh over. I honestly don't know what I'll do with myself this summer without my favorite people around to make me smile so big my cheeks start to hurt.
My freshman year at college has been, overall, a wonderful time.
Of course, it hasn't been without its pitfalls — worrying over exams and finals, personal struggles with loved ones or friends back home, learning to become more independent, and trying to figure out my path in life. None of that feels as heavy of a burden, though, because I had all of you to help through it all. I cannot express enough how grateful and thankful I am that the most caring, hilarious, loving, and downright gorgeous girls EVER decided they saw something in me they liked and stuck around to get to know me better.
Thank you for being there for me when I'm feeling down, for hyping me up on every Instagram post, for constantly throwing me off and impressing me with your dance moves and singing abilities.
I truly am the luckiest girl in the world to call you all my friends... and I'm a major sap for writing it all out.
