It's that time of the semester again. Finals are approaching, our sleep schedules are about to take a frightening turn, and words we use regularly have acquired new meanings. Why not take a study break and brush up on your exam week vocabulary?
"Cumulative": Death by information.
A word powerful enough to induce emotional breakdowns.
"Ice Cream": Dinner, and dessert, and breakfast.
And there's nothing wrong with that.
"Library": A place of permanent residence for most students during the week of finals.
Remember to pack food, water, tissues and your last Starbucks gift card. Oh, and your books.
"Sleep": A state of rest we used to indulge in, but which has become a fictional state where it is believed one can escape their stress. We now substitute this rest with coffee.
Extra shot of espresso, please!
" Exercise": The act of burning calories. Something we used to do occasionally, but now no longer even consider.
Too much brain exercise.
"Project": An extra final before the final.
Because simply studying wasn't enough.
" Netflix": A term generally associated with watching a television show for hours at a time. Once our great ally, now our worst enemy and strongest temptation.
A little study break can't hurt, right?
"No": My name, my sign, my number, my GPA stability.
"Nah to the ah to the no, no, no."
"Puppies": Adorable creatures that our schools think are the cure to stress.

(They might be.)
"Hope": The knowledge that everything is going to be OK. You're going to survive this.
Good luck on finals, and may the grading odds be ever in your favor.
