For The One In The Waiting Season
Seasons of waiting are inescapable. Here's some encouragement to get through them!
Seasons of waiting are inescapable. Waiting for to make friends at a new school, waiting to be asked to junior prom, waiting for the college acceptance letter. Before we are able to receive, we must endure waiting.
If you feel like you're in the waiting, I'm right there with you. The hardest thing is watching the people around you receive promises and in your heart, you just want that to be you too. Simply put, it's hard.
During these seasons, we have a choice: to be complacent or to be expectant. We can wait around hoping things will just fall into place, or we can believe that God's promises will come to pass. We can be hopeful and carry joy bravely.
When we wait with expectancy, actively serving and doing, God wants to honor our faithfulness to Him! Our waiting often serves as preparation for when He comes in with the solution.
This is so much easier said than done, trust me I feel you! I wish I had answers, and I'm sure you do too, but part of waiting is embracing not knowing. It's learning to let God reveal Himself to you in His time, and being content even when you're waiting on this to happen.
In the seasons that seemingly look grey, our hope is in knowing God promises to come and paint more color into our lives.
God doesn't let go of His promises. He doesn't let go of the dreams He instilled in your heart, so neither should you.
