Since I make the trek back to Charleston, tomorrow, I can't help but find myself thinking about all the things I can't wait to do once I find myself back in my home away from home.

Here for some of my favorite things to experience in Charleston. You might even add some of these activities to your itinerary the next time you come down and see us in the Holy City.

First on the schedule is a trip down to Shem Creek for some Stand Up Paddle-boarding and kayaking. Is there really a better way to see the natural beauty of Charleston than from out on the water in this last month of summer? Not only is paddle boarding a fun way to get outside, but it's also a great way to get active.

Since we are still in the height of bikini season, exercise is still a top priority to many of us during these dog days of summer. One of the best workouts you can get, without having to step foot inside a gym, is to make your way to the top of the Ravenel Bridge. While you're running, walking, or biking your way to the top, you may start to question your sanity and why you would ever force yourself to do such a daunting thing, but all those questions will be answered as you stand at the summit of the bridge while the sun shines above you and the many sailboats dart about the harbor below.

Next, I can't wait to take a stroll through the gorgeous cistern at night. Part of the reason I chose to come to the College of Charleston to begin with was because of it's beautiful campus. So, one of the first things I like to do when I return to one of my favorites places in the world, is to take in the spectacular scenery. Heading down to the Cistern, under the glow of Charleston's street lamps, serves as a nice little reminder that I am so incredibly lucky to have been able to spend four years in this magical city.

Another great way to take in the sights and sounds of Charleston is to head on up to one of the many rooftop bars the city has to offer. There is no better way to enjoy the company of friends and family than to relax and chat with one another over cocktails while watching a beautiful South Carolina sunset.

Want to take in the sunset a different way? Put on your walking shoes and head down South of Broad. No matter how many times I think I have explored the city, something new gets me every time. Whether it's the quintessentially Southern homes or the oak trees that shade the streets just right, it's a walk that never disappoints.

Get out there and experience the Holy City for yourself!

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

school

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
