It's 2017 and almost everyone has Netflix or at least watched Netflix once. If you aren't a Netflixer, consider yourself lucky. Not all, but many of these Netflixers have fallen victim to the Netflix addiction. It's a problem that can affect your health, your social life, your emotions, and more. If you think you might be a victim, here are some symptoms that might help with your diagnosis:

1. You basically give a whole new name to “binge watching".

2. When people ask if you’re in a relationship and your response is yes, with Netflix.

3. When you continue to re-watch the same shows and movies over and over.

4. When you move from one show to the next without a break.

5. You're constantly refreshing the home page, waiting for new shows and movies to be added.

6. You've stopped going out because you are too hooked on a show and can’t pull yourself away from it.

7. You’ve been wearing the same clothes and you haven't moved in days.

8. Microwavable meals have become your new best friend.

9. Date night consists of a glass of wine, popcorn and Netflix.

10. Your eyes have gotten red and you can barely keep them open because you’ve been staring at the same screen for hours on end.

11. Netflix has become your most visited website and the tab is constantly open.

12. You have netflix on all devices, just in case you’re on the go and can’t watch on your computer.

13. You refuse to share your account because you will be watching at all times and you can’t risk someone else taking your spot.

14. You finish shows in a disgustingly short period of time.

15. Your family and friends have begun to express their concerns.

16. You’ve basically watched every show available and you realize you might need a break.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
