Syllabus Week, As Told By The Office

In This Article:

Welcome to Syllabus Week! This week is easy for some, but it is pretty rocky for most, especially when you first glance at the syllabus. Everything usually just goes down from here in regards to stress, exhaustion levels, and workload.

In order to bring some comedic relief this Syllabus Week, here is what this week is usually like, as told by one of my favorite shows, The Office.

1. When you're not used to getting up so early so you're almost falling asleep in class

2. When the professor assigns homework on the first day of class

3. When you look at this syllabus and see everything you have to do this semester

Giphy

4. When you see that one of your friends is in your class

Giphy

5. When reviewing the syllabus is followed by the first lecture

Giphy

6. When your "easy A" class turns into the class that you're most worried about

Giphy

7. When you get let out of class early

Giphy

8. When you realize that this semester is going to be rough, and it's only the first week

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
