A perk to going Greek at college is celebrating Sweetheart Weekend. It's a Greek holiday for all of the sororities and fraternities to celebrate and letter another member of the opposite organization to their chapter. For example, if you're a part of a sorority then you letter someone from a fraternity to your chapter. It's an entire weekend at the beginning of the school year.
It's a whole process of celebrating the first day and nominating a certain amount of people from each chapter to be the potential sweetheart. The second day is when the actual lettering happens.
This year, the following chapters had these Sweethearts:
Phi Sigma Sigma: Matt Ferguson of TKE
Tau Kappa Epsilon: Kath Saverice of ZTA
Αlpha Xi Delta: Ryan Hopely of Sigma Phi Epsilon
Sigma Phi Epsilon: Leah Corcillo of AΞΔ
Zeta Tau Alpha: Matt Esposito of Sigma Phi Epsilon
Delta Phi Epsilon: Avery Martini of Sigma Phi Epsilon
It was an amazing weekend filled with so much celebration and tears. Looking forward to an amazing year with all of Greek Life and their new sweethearts.
