We live in a world of chocoholics, where the term vanilla has become synonymous with boring or plain. But believe me when I say, though less outspoken and slightly smaller, the vanilla fan base is just as strong. Vanilla pairs well with almost anything; Might I remind you what extract is the basis for all of your chocolaty pastries? But all flavor discrepancies aside, heavy doses of vanilla, outside the realms of ice cream, can be hard to find. So, here are some suggestions to get your fix for my fellow lovers of vanilla:

1. Vanilla Milk

No, regular milk is not “vanilla,” but true vanilla milk exists in grocery stores! Nesquik, along with their more popular strawberry and chocolate flavored powdered mixes, also created a vanilla! The flavor can also be found conveniently in variations of both soy and almond milks.

2. Vanilla Fudge

A true taste and texture delight, and changes up the conceptions about what foods should belong strictly to chocolate. Fun fact: “Vanilla Fudge” is also the name of a rock-turned-heavy metal band. Such rebellion.

3. Vanilla Meringue

Spice up your whipped egg whites and sugar by pumping up the level of vanilla extract. Perfect for cakes, cookies or just to binge eat shamelessly out of the very bowl you in which you made it.

4. Vanilla Latte

This sounds so simple, but that’s the beauty of vanilla — its simple pleasure. Most, if not all, coffee shops have vanilla syrup ready to pump, and the amount of vanilla sweetness you want for your morning wake up is totally up to you. Vanilla coffee in any form is incredibly easy to create at home.

5. Hot Vanilla

While we’re on the subject of comfort beverages, this is literally hot cocoa, but made with vanilla instead. True happiness in a mug.

6. Vanilla Cocktails

If you enjoy drinking and have not yet discovered the wonders of vanilla vodka, I am truly sorry for you. If you are not yet of legal drinking age, just know what wonders are yet to come your way. Cheers!

7. Vanilla Chip Cookies

This is the ultimate revenge twist on the classic cookie. Take that, chocolate!

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
