COVID-19 has really brought a huge halt on new TV shows, movies and other entertainment productions. The development of new seasons of our favorite TV shows had to stop due to the safety of cast and crew. One of these shows being one of the greatest television compititions CBS, "Survivor". The just completed its 40th season "Survivor: Winners at War", where Tony Vlachos was pronounced the winner of the million dollar prize via Zoom. Although his rise to to win was very exciting, the way it all turned out due to the global pandemic was quite a let down for a very climactic season. Unfortunately, we have to wait till probably early next year for the new season, which has not been filmed yet.

Season 41 of "Survivor" was already prepared to start filming in Spring, already selecting its cast and would film Season 42 once the first season was over. The way the show films its seasons are back to back, two seasons filmed each Summer for the past 20 years. However, due to concerns over the pandemic, CBS postponed production and the country of Fiji, where the show has been recently been filming in over the past few years also shut down its borders.

Recently, it has been announced that the new season might be put back into production in early September. Jeff Probst, the host and one of the producers of the show, has been contacting CBS and the government of Fiji to find out safe ways the production of the show could continue. The Fiji government stated that production for TV shows and movies can continue on the island but everyone that travels requires them to test negative on the COVID-19 test and spend two weeks quarantine in the country prior to doing anything.

Before, I get to what you can do while waiting for the new season, I would like to take a few lines to remember Cliff Robinson, whom recently passed away at the age of 53. Robinson was known for being an NBA basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors and New Jersey Nets.In relation to survivor he played in Season 28 "Survivor: Cagayan- Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty", where he was part of the Brawn team being the fourth person eliminated in the season after being seen as a threat by his fellow contestants. He will be missed dearly and never forgotten.

Now, what exactly can you do while waiting for the new season to come around. One thing you can do is watch previous seasons of the show on Hulu and the CBS app. Another thing you can to to pass your time is to watch the upcoming season of the "Amazing Race" which premieres Wednesday, October 14 on CBS or start watching the ongoing series of "Big Brother: All Stars". However, the best way you can spend your time waiting for the new season is to watch the countdown of the Top 100 Greatest Survivors on YouTube through the Russell Hantz Show, hosted by Russell Hantz who has played "Survivor" on numerous occassions. He is using experts on "Survivor" along with a variety of "Survivor" players, winners, legends and all stars to compile a list of the best survivors of the past 20 years and 40 seasons. The Top 10 players will be anounced on Sunday, September 13, while all the other episodes can be found in his YouTube channel.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
