Three more weeks, Dukes, we have just three more weeks until it’s sunshine and summertime, so we’ve got to push through! This last stretch of the semester is the hardest to get through because no one wants to keep getting up for 8 a.m. lectures and studying at this point, but this last stretch is the most critical and crucial to your grades. Here are some ways to keep yourself motivated and stay on top of your workload even when all you REALLY want to do is lay out on the quad:

Write down what you need to accomplish for the upcoming week

Planning out your week, Sunday through Friday (because let's face it, you're not doing anything on Saturday), will help you prioritize all of the things that you have going on and make sure you can evenly spread it out. This won't only reduce the amount of stress that is going to accompany you during these next few weeks, but you'll feel very accomplished putting a line through the tasks that you've already completed.

Study the material a little each day

There is absolutely no way that you're going to learn an entire semesters worth of statistics the night before the exam. Instead of cramming, review each topic covered on your exam every night up until your exam and keep doing it until you are reciting the confidence interval formula in your sleep.

Ask questions

At this point it doesn't matter if the boy of your dreams is in the class, if you really have no idea what your professor is talking about then it's time to start asking questions. Chances are that Brad has the same questions too so do both of yourselves a favor and just ask.

Spend some time at UREC

Whether it's taking a yoga class, running on the indoor track, or powerlifting all your stress away, UREC is a great tool t utilize these last few weeks. The endorphins from working out allow you to feel ready to keep studying and it will give you a nice break in between trips to the library to feel recharged. It will also help to burn all the calories you've accumulated with every Starbucks Java Chip Frappuccino® that you consumed trying hard to keep yourself awake.

Get some sleep

Somewhere between all the lectures you have to attend, the studying, and finding time to eat, you NEED to make sure that you are getting enough sleep. You won't be able to perform as well on exams or pay attention in class if you're too tired to keep your eyes open. Multiple naps throughout the day will not replace a good night's sleep, so go to bed at a decent time and wake up a little earlier to get everything accomplished that you need to for the day.

Just breathe

And finally, just take some time to take a few deep breathes and realize that you CAN do this and that you WILL succeed in whatever you set your mind to.

Good luck to everyone in these last few weeks and keep on pushing, we are almost there!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

The holiday season is full of stress, debt, and forced conversation. While we rush through the month of December, it's important to take a step back and enjoy the moments before they're gone. Most families love to watch Christmas movies, but these beloved films provide more than entertainment. Here are 10 life lessons that I've learned from the holiday classics we watch every year.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
