With winter storm Jonas tearing through the Northeast over this past weekend (cue your favorite Jonas Brothers tune here), people everywhere are beginning to prepare for the next storm. Looking for their salt, their shovels, their favorite gloves and boots, they begin to think, "How long will I be stuck at home?" "Do we have candles? What about batteries? Firewood?" they ponder. Then the real terror sets in:
"Do we have enough food?"
Everyone's guilty of it. If you live in a dorm, you've probably done it. If you're just beginning to live alone, chances are you'll do it. If you live at home, your mom's definitely done it and you just might have been coerced into doing it yourself. Whenever meteorologists predict inclement weather, people everywhere rush to their favorite grocery store to stock up on their treats of choice. Now, emergency preparedness is important. Homes should always be stocked ready with the right survival necessities should people find themselves in a dangerous situation. Sites like ready.gov and Emergency Preparedness from the CDC are great tools that should be utilized for making plans. Whatever you do to prepare for the winter storms, don't panic like this guy...
Two years ago comedian Vic DiBitetto took the internet by storm (see what I did there) when he posted this video to his YouTube page. Just look at this little snow angel with his bread and milk...
Honestly, props to Vic for being the only one who said what everyone else was thinking! The only thing that makes him happier than snow? Finally earning his 15 minutes of fame...
A stand-up comedian for 30 years, every time a blizzard blows through town DiBitetto's viral video resurfaces. Check out more about him on his Facebook or his website.
Whatever you do during the winter months, stay safe and have fun!
