Finding yourself immersed once again in real, adult life after your spring break can be a shocking and uncomfortable, feeling for many. For college kids it means surviving the last six-ish weeks of the semester while trying your very best to pass every class. Luckily, I've amassed a collection of tips to help push us through until May.

1. Spend more and more time outside, especially on campus, as it becomes warmer.

Sure, the quad might not be as relaxing, or exotic as Florida but it's certainly better than sitting in your room all day. In fact, scientists have proven that sitting outside in the spring can actually elevate your happiness levels!

2. Don't put off the work you need to do.

Coming back from a week off can be rough. Getting back on track is key to keeping your stress levels low! You don't want to have a mid-semester meltdown a week before finals.

3. When you feel the stress coming back make sure to hit the gym.

Exercise releases chemicals in your brain that help reduce the harmful effects of stress. It's important to take a break from the books, and real life in general, to hit the gym every couple of days. Your body will feel better, and your mind will thank you!

4. Get that sleep in too.

Spring break didn't get its reputation because of it's "totally lit" nap times. When you get back to real life make sure you're sleeping enough.

5. Eat your fruits and your veggies, and cut back on that delivery pizza!

It's the ultimate advice from Mom: you are what you eat. If you want your post-spring break tan to glimmer with a bit of pizza grease then keep on snacking like you did on vacation. Otherwise, get back to the salad bar. Your skin will thank you.

6. Take a weekend trip with some buddies.

Spring break withdrawal comes with a nasty set of side effects. Unfortunately, included in that bunch is the "travel bug." You escaped for a bit, but now your body craves more. Take some buddies on a trip to the nearest hiking spot, or maybe visit an old friend a couple of states away. Whoever said adventure ends at spring break was wrong.

7. Wear your favorite warm weather outfits.

Recent studies have shown that dressing in your favorite clothes can actually increase your sense of happiness and wellbeing. You'll feel more confident, and that type of positivity will radiate through your whole life. Who needs a bikini body when that sundress makes you feel just as good?

8. Keep yourself organized.

One of the best feelings ever is checking off every task on your to-do list. Keep your planner tidy and your life will follow along with it! It's easy to push things off or procrastinate once spring break gives you a taste of summer, but you'll be just fine if you stay on top of your commitments.

9. Get your summer trips planned out!

Nothing helps fix a spring break withdrawal like planning your upcoming summer adventures. It's a good break from your day to day activities, but it also gives you something to look forward to!

10. Enjoy the normalcy that comes with time spent at school or home.

It's not the beach, but at least you know where to find food and the bathroom. Enjoy the homeostasis of normalcy before you dive back into vacation insanity in a short couple of weeks.

11. Take a deep breath and slay the rest of the semester.

It's not over until finals, so go back and crush it.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
