1. Stay Organized
Make a calendar with every upcoming assignment. This will keep you on top of due dates. Use folders to separate classwork and study materials
2. Form Study Groups
Studying with your friends probably doesn’t sound very productive but it does help. By sharing information with each other you can learn things in a different perspective.
3. Stay Away from Technology
Technology is a huge advance but it can also be a huge distraction. Put down your phone and pick up your book. Designate break times to catch up on texts and social media. Phones are a temptation that will take focus away from studying.
4. Don’t study for hours!
Set up hour time blocks of productive study time. Sitting down at a desk for hours upon hours will only lead to unproductive studying and wasted time. Dedicating one hour to a specific subject will increase the amount of information retained.
5. Sleep
Staying up all night studying the night before a test isn’t the best idea. Your body needs rest and depriving your body is only going to hurt you. Give yourself time to get a good night sleep before test day.
