The man's holiday is over (the Super Bowl), now onto every woman's favorite night or worst nightmare: Valentine's Day. You either dread it, or love it, there is no in between.

Whether you're married, been dating someone for awhile, or haven't even thought about dating in two years, Valentine's Day always brings up very strange feelings. To all you Valentine's haters out there: give it a chance! Don't let your lack of love life or unhappy thoughts of Valentine's past ruin what can be a great day! If you're single or just think the holiday is stupid, here are some tips and tricks to get you through the Day of Love:

1. Galentine's Day:

Galentinte's Day is Valentine's Day for your girlfriends. You probably do a variation of Galentine's Day every other weekend, but really make this one count. Throw on some pajamas, pop in "The Notebook," and catch up with your closest pals. Celebrate the love you have for your friends instead!

2. Treat yo' self:

That's right, it's a holiday, treat yo' self! Buy yourself some roses. Get those cute Steve Madden's you've been eyeing every time you window shop. Actually get the mani-pedi you keep passive aggressively complaining you need. Do something for just you! You deserve it.

3. Block his number:

You know who I'm talking about, he is probably going to text you nonchalantly even though he knows what day it is. Block his number. Just do it. You're already stressed about him every other day of your life, give yourself a break and avoid his texts for the day.

4. Take a trip:

Get out of town! It seems everyone these days is obsessed with taking "adventures." If you're really dreading spending Valentine's Day in your city then grab a map, fill up your tank, and see where the road takes you. I have found that just taking a drive is the best medicine for a rotten day or just to clear my head.

5. Take a date night out with your platonic guy friend:

It might seem like you have to avoid all males the week before Valentine's Day because you don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. This totally isn't true. Call up your best guy friend and head to the movies, don't let Valentine's Day get in the way of friendship.

I know we all have that one story of a miserable Valentine's Day where we sat on the couch all night long and nearly ate yourself into a chocolate coma over how you're spending the day along. Don't let that happen this year! Valentine's Day is probably one of the weirdest holidays ever and with it quickly approaching, it appears there is no way to prepare. Try one of this tips and tricks to get through all the pink, holding hands, and teddy bears you're going to see.

Happy Valentine's Day, xoxo!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
