I’m kind, I’m killing it, and my makeup looks awesome too.
Womanhood does not have to be a constant competition to see who can be the best. We do not have to prove ourselves as the prettiest, the best dressed, the thinnest or the most successful.
We have to get away from this idea that a limited number of women can be successful. We have to stop believing the stereotype that all women are faking their kindness. We have to be the kind of women we want this world to carry.
Breaking self-esteem is super easy, but empowering is even easier.
In the society we live in today, we sometimes seem to think if we make another woman look like less, we, in turn, will look like more. This is not the case. This is never the case. You can smile in the grocery store. You can offer a complement. You can support another woman’s ideas. You can acknowledge another woman’s achievements. Guess what? Even after doing all of this, you are no less of a woman than she is. Another woman’s failure is not your success. Our successes will never improve because another woman has stopped advancing.
A candle loses absolutely nothing from lighting another candle.
