Just over a week ago, Potterheads around the world lost one of the most beloved and amazing actors from the well-known "Harry Potter" movie series -- Alan Rickman. Rickman played the enigmatic and multifarious Professor Severus Snape in the popular films. Snape was known for his sarcasm, shady past, love for Harry’s mother Lily, hatred towards Harry's father James, and mixed feelings towards Harry himself. Now, here are some of the moments that will forever be loved and remembered by fans.

1. “There will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class.”

—"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone" (also known as "Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone")

This is not the first scene where we meet Snape, but it is the first few lines he says in the movie that make the audience immediately dislike the character.

2. “Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?”

—"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone"

These will be remembered as Snape’s first words to Harry.

3. “Turn to page 394.”

—"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"

Classic. Potterheads now quote this phrase constantly to their friends and family.

4. “Well, well, Lupin. Out for a little walk…in the moonlight, are we?”

—"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"

He always had a flare for the dramatic.

5. This scene from "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."

Actions speak louder than words.

6. Umbridge: “You applied first for the Defense Against the Dark Arts post, is that correct?”

Snape: “Yes.”

Umbridge: “But you were unsuccessful?”

Snape: “Obviously.”

—"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"

His sarcasm was always on point.

7. “Well, it may have escaped your notice, but life isn’t fair.”

—"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"

It may be not the most memorable quote, but it sure is one of the truest quotes from the character.

8. “You dare use my own spells against me, Potter? Yes. I’m the Half-Blood Prince.”

—"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"

Remember when we all thought that he betrayed Professor Dumbledore and joined the Dark Lord’s side?

9. “You have your mother’s eyes.”

—"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two"

This was probably one of the most heartfelt moments throughout the movies as well as Snape’s last words to Harry.

10. His patronus was a doe.

(Scene from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two.")

He had the same patronus as Lily. His love was endless. As much as Snape could have possibly hated James Potter, the love he had for Lily was timeless and so overpowered his extreme dislike of James that he helped to save Harry Potter’s life.

11. Dumbledore: “Lily…after all this time?”

Snape: “Always.”

—"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two"

Where we all found out the beautiful truth and realized how loving and devoted Severus Snape truly was after all this time.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
