One brisk Sunday morning, I woke up early just to see the sunrise.
While I much enjoy watching the sunrise and set, I hardly have any time anymore. I went on my deck in my backyard and while watching the sunrise, I was overwhelmed with a realization: I witnessed the fresh start to a brand new day.
Breathing in the cool morning air, I sipped my coffee.
This was a very spiritual moment for me because it got me thinking about the things that constantly get most of my attention, such as school and homework, and realizing that even though those things are important, that it is much too early in my life to be worrying so much, and yet, at the same time, too late to stay in bed and not give it any thought whatsoever.
I have to see the world before adult life and all the responsibilities that come with it kick in.
I just need to feel the serenity of it all as the world awakens like a newborn child. Watching the sunrise reminded me that we can all start anew each day, forgetting whatever troubled you in the night, looking forward to every new thing you can still see and feel and taste for the hours given you. A new day is a new beginning.
