During the summer everyone faces the boredom of not knowing what to do with our free time. One of the ways I have found to combat this is to go to the beach! One of my favorite beaches is New Smyrna Beach.
It has soft sand, cool water, and enough sun to get an amazing golden tan! New Smyrna is the perfect place to take your family as there is always enough space to set up all of your chairs and tents, the waves are never crazy big, and there are always multiple lifeguards present. Just remember to pack a lot of sunscreen!
Calm waves and plenty of sun. The tides at New Smyrna are almost never wild and there are calmer waves near the shoreline, perfect for little kids to enjoy!
Many people are drawn to New Smyrna for the sun, but I love it for the water. The waves allow visitors to boogie board, swim and of course lay out and build sandcastles by the shore.
Calm gentle waves fill the air with their relaxing sounds and offer visitors an escape from their hectic lives.
At the shoreline visitors are able to see many small fish swimming around and occasionally may see a seagull dive into the waves to catch one.
Lifeguards can see far in the distance from their headquarters to keep the beach's visitors safe and happy! After all New Smyrna Beach is know as the "Shark Attack Capital of The World!"
More lifeguards are closely watching the swimmers to make sure they don't stray too far out into the ocean.
The beach is surrounded by green grasses and many palms. Between the months of May and October, you will see many taped off areas in which sea turtles have laid some eggs. Lucky visitors might even be able to see some of the eggs hatch!
Visiting New Smyrna Beach is one of my most favorite things to do and it will soon be yours too. People of all different ages are able to have fun in the sun and enjoy the peaceful waves!
